At Trinity United Methodist Church we believe in supporting and caring for those who are in need. We offer several groups and services to help those searching for fellowship, support, and guidance during difficult times. Here are just a few:
Prayer Walkers – Third Sundays, 8:10 am in Trinity Prayer Chapel
We gather to walk the building and pray for our congregation and its needs. Contact: Scott Tipton
We meet weekly via email to hold in prayer our church, community and global concerns. We hold in confidence all requests that are submitted to the prayer chain. Contact: Vicki Wachendorf
Wrapped in God’s Love – Tuesdays, 1 – 3 pm (contact for location)
We hope to wrap you up in the love of God! Beginning in January 2016, knitted and crocheted prayer shawls will be available in the Trinity Library for you to take home and keep you warm when you most need prayers. The shawl will be yours to keep, if you’d like, or can be returned, washed and clean, for another person’s use.
Prayers & Squares – Second and fourth Thursdays, 9:30 am until 12 noon in Rooms 208-209.
We hand-craft prayer quilts for members of our congregation in special need of prayer. We also create small baptism quilts for infants being baptized. You don’t need to know how to quilt or even sew – we’ll teach you if you want to learn, and we can always use your helping hands. Contact: Kathy Koblentz.
If you have ever experienced difficult times in your life, you know how valuable it is to have a caring friend who can listen well, pray sincerely and guide compassionately. Such friends as these are available at Trinity UMC!
If you find yourself struggling to recover from the loss of a loved one, please prayerfully consider attending.
