On Sunday mornings each summer for many years, we’ve presented Book Talks & Mission Walks – an opportunity for folks at Trinity to share about a book or outreach experience that has impacted their faith journey. We’ll continue to learn together this summer, but with a twist, through Trinity TED Talks.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less) shared online. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design (TED) converged, and today covers almost all topics – from science to business to global issues – in over 100 languages.

On Sunday mornings this summer, Trinity presenters will share a TED Talk and then connect it to an aspect of Christian faith. For example: What does science teach us about how God is involved in the world? How does our faith in Jesus call us to engage politically (or does it?)? If we improve our ability to listen to others, will that help us grow as Christians?
